Okay - so I started the new year eager to shed some unwanted pounds. What I didn't expect was to lose 12 pounds the hard way - lol. You see... I had oral surgery, and have been unable to eat any solids for a couple of weeks. Yes, I lost some weight, but not the way I intended to lose it.
I know some of you have had your wisdom teeth extracted or maybe even a tooth or two for one reason or another, and can relate on the eating situation. It's not fun!
My diet or lack thereof has not prevented me from losing a few pounds. My meals have mainly consisted of soup, mac and cheese, avacados, yogurt, pudding, mashed potatoes - anything soft. These foods are not diet foods by any means, but the change in my usual diet has changed, and the results aren't too bad.
When I'm able to chew without pain.... I'll need to keep the portion sizes down and eat smaller more frequent meals. This seems to have triggered the weight loss.
