I Love a Good Testimony

I was outside the Pizza Hut where my daughter works waiting to pick her up, and one of her co-workers whom I've met before said hello. As my daughter was getting into the car, he proceeded to tell me about one of his deliveries.

Andy, that's the delivery driver's name, under special request was asked to deliver a couple of pizzas to a church. As he walks in the church, he notices they are having service, but is lead to the front where the pastor is preaching. Now mind you, the church has about 100 people attending the service, and there are about another 50 in the lobby viewing the service on a TV.

He carries the pizza's to the pulpit, and the pastor asks how much is the bill, and he states "it's $12.50". The pastor asks him, "how much tip do you usually receive on a $12.50 order?" Andy, replies - I'm usually tipped $2.00. The pastor said when he ordered the pizza, he asked the store manager whom she thought most deserved to be blessed today and she picked Andy.

Well, by now Andy is getting a little nervous being up front and the center and having the attention of all these people - none of whom he knows. The pastor tells him that they have all contributed to his tip tonight and gift him with $483.00. Andy is shocked and in awe of this random act of kindness. He thanks the pastor and the congregation. He tells them not only is he a delivery driver, but is in culinary school and what a blessing this truly is to him.

What a wonderful testimony. It gives me hope and encouragement to know that people care and are paying it forward!

Christmas and The Pink Slip

It's the 17th of December and I'm facing the inevitable layoff date of December 31st. We all knew it was coming - the project is being wrapped up - nowhere else to go but out the door.

I count myself lucky to make it to the end of the year. We've experience many layoffs, at our company, this year, and I'm hoping those who've gone before me have all found new employment.

I didn't make it in to work today, because of an excruciating earache. Not a good time to miss out on a days pay especially when there aren't that many days left to work with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

Speaking of Christmas... funds have been stretched so tight, there isn't a decoration in or outside my home - nor will there be any gifts exchanged this year. It's the saddest Christmas I've ever experienced in all my 46 years. I don't remember a year that the Christmas tree wasn't up after Thanksgiving day, or that there weren't numerous presents for all my loved ones under the tree, waiting to be wrapped, or those last minute Christmas gifts waiting to be purchased. I think I'm sad because I've always managed to pull a rabbit out of my hat, make it possible to have all these things, and this year I can't. So, I'm hoping I can still make it special for my family somehow.

I love the holidays. I love giving gifts. I love going over to mom and dad's, being with all my brothers, sister, in-laws, nieces and nephews - and grandson. It's the one time of year that we gather together, share a meal, open presents, play games, laugh, joke, reminisce.

I know I'm not alone this year, and others are experiencing the same dilema. So I say to you, "Count Your Blessings" and be thankful for what you do have.

Paying It Forward

Paying it Foward.... such a simple little phrase, and yet so complex at the same time.

I have ideas of great magnitude on how its possible to help many get out of debt, save their homes from foreclosure, help each child receive funds for their higher education, and assist our senior citizens offset the costs that medicare does not cover.

Putting these ideas into action costs a little more than I have to get it started. I will find the means to get this idea up and running in the first quarter of 2010 with HIS help. This is my new mission in life and something I'm very passionate about.

I came across something that has previously been tested and want to try it out to see if it works. Here goes nothing.... and hopefully, something that's phenomenal.

Dear Friend,

You probably have seen this before, but it really does work. Give it a try -- think of how you waste $6 in a day, week or month. It's a minor investment with great rewards. This might $6 investment could actually change your life!

If you could start your own mail order list with an investment of$6.00, and make $800,000 over the next year would you do it?
